Emerging Trends London 2013

Last Friday was our first full team session work event at London Fashion Week. Joining a make-up team lead by Tracey from Spirit Salon in Pocklington, we headed for London to work backstage at the 2nd Annual Emerging Trends Fashion Challenge – London 2013.

We have been planning for the event for the last two months but nothing could have prepared me for how proud I was of our team. They were fantastic and pulled together like clockwork. The skills they showed creating the range of looks we did were incredible. I can’t wait to see the styles they create for our clients this party season – paul

The day was epic – 7 designers, 12 stylist, 20 looks, 25 models and over 30 struts down the catwalk to prepare for. Reaching London for 11am, we set out our stations and it was full steam ahead until 9.30pm when the final walks took place.

The competition was produced by Boston, USA, based company The SYNERGY Events and brought together Fashion Designers from across the globe. They were Nina Athanasiou (Germany) – Winner of the show, Elena Jones – Lococina (Canada), Shefali Couture (United Arab Emirates), Hope Wade Designs (Jamaica/USA), Rudy Wolff (Norway) and the Best of British Presentation by Rene K and Kelly Ewing.
